We never tire of new offerings from the Oxo company--their gadgets truly are among the best for the kitchen and styling kit. We recently picked up a tool new to us, their serrated peeler. It's designed for peeling soft fruits and vegetables, like tomatoes, peaches and plums. But we tried it on harder vegetables, like carrots or zucchini. And loved how nicely the blade glided over the skin + we loved the very subtle serrated look to thin slices of the vegetables. Kind of nice for whisper thin carrot shreds--crisped up in ice water they twist and curl--very pretty in a salad. But don't overlook other Oxo tools--the citrus zester is about the best we've found, and the swivel-head vegetable peeler and small paring knife are terrific too. And every gadget has the super-comfortable soft grip handles.
