Don't you love it when you need to put a piece of pie or some other fragile food on a plate--that the art director then needs to tilt? To prevent sliding (this works well on for wedges of pizza on a spatula, too), look for adhesive sandpaper (3M makes a product called "Safety-Walk"). You can cut it into whatever size and shape you need to hold a slippy food in place. Attach to the bottom of the plate or spatula, set the food on top, and feel secure that the food will stay put.
